Bio

Hi! I am Ava, a student at Valencia High School in California. I am extremely passionate about public speaking and am an active competitor in tournaments across the country. I am also a speech captain on my school team. My biggest goal is to help other people find their voice and use it to stand up for what they believe in.

I believe that public speaking is one of the most valuable skills that, unfortunately, even most adults are scared of. I hope to teach public speaking skills to youth in order to help them find their voice and the same confidence that public speaking brought to me. My biggest goal is to hTo do this, I have founded Junior Speakers, an organization that utilizes workshops and private coaching to teach these skills to students.

Outside of speech, I love to read, spend time with friends, and travel.

Junior Speakers Workshops

While public speaking is a skill that is beyond helpful in so many aspects of our everyday lives, it is a skill that many are terrified to try. To help youth find their voice and inner confidence, I have founded Junior Speakers. It is an organization that provides workshops, coaching, and information about public speaking to help students accomplish their dreams. Speech has brought me more joy than anything else and my hope is to inspire that same joy in others. Whether that be through public speaking itself or the memories made working together, I am confident that it can help countless people.

Voices Unmuted Podcast🎙️

I am currently working on starting a podcast that interviews people on the importance of public speaking. The podcast episodes range from everything between everyday societal problems to the importance of public speaking in youth. My goal is to help people find their voice and give them a platform to not only share it on, but inspire others to do the same. I also hope to use these episodes to share advice on public speaking and hear from people that have found great success and happiness in it.

Mentorship experience

  1. I have spent a lot of time working with kids grades 4-6 through Junior Speakers Workshops to help them improve their public speaking skills through a fun, interactive environment.
  2. I also have a lot of tutoring experience. I have tutored students in Ukraine on their English skills and I am now a captain on my Speech & Debate team. I have spent a lot of time helping other students with their performance skills as well as their speeches in general.
