How The Curiosity Lab Helps Kids Find Their Passions

What is The Curiosity Lab?
At the Curiosity Lab, preteens discover new subjects one unit at a time—allowing them to determine if a topic truly sparks their passion. Each 4-6 week unit begins with an engaging introduction, followed by the student selecting a mini-project and starting their work in week two. Weekly support from teachers and a community of like-minded learners guides them throughout the journey, culminating in a final week where they proudly showcase their results.
This structured exploration empowers preteens to become proactive, authentic problem solvers.

Founder of Junior Speakers
Ava DiNapoli, a passionate high school student and accomplished speech captain, founded Junior Speakers to ignite a love for public speaking in children. Ava's own journey with public speaking began in elementary school, leading to numerous district and state tournament wins, including a $2,500 college scholarship through a national oratorical contest. She's dedicated to empowering young people with the confidence and skills to express themselves effectively.

Erica is a senior in high school and will be attending Dartmouth College next year. She loves coding because of all the ways being a coder helps her solve problems for people. She loves making it fun for kids to learn.
She’s taught programming through tutoring and camps, and she’s excited to help you discover how creative coding can be!
Erica plays the violin and piano, loves figure skating, crocheting, and baking. She’s also her class Vice President and leads her school’s Computer Science Honor Society.
